A "meta maps mashup" implementation including the GeoGarage
This GeoGarage demo allows the visualization of different French data sources issued from :
- some GeoGarage examples : Brest, Nantes (Basse Goulaine), Ortholittorale 2000
- overlayed with the 3 main mapping server data Google, Microsoft et Yahoo
As a proof of
concept, the GeoGarage examples have been integrated into a world
map including the data from Google Maps, Microsoft Live Map et
Yahoo Maps.
This implementation has only be realized to show the accuracy of the Garage georeferencing process.
Supratlas is an experimental application which uses the aerial, satellite pictures and maps of the 3 main online mapping services without the knowledge or the agreement of Microsoft Corp., Google Inc. et Yahoo! Inc..
All the data are visualized in different overlays with transparency possibilities.
Note : Supratlas has been entirely re-written from the Paul Neave 's concept and work who was the first to propose this type of map comparator.
